The first group of twenty-five Indian students, who are leaving for Russia tonight for higher studies in medicine
at the Tver State Medical Academy, Russian Federation, were given a warm farewell by the Russian Centre of
Science and Culture on September 27. The Indian students will undergo the medical course in English as the
medium of instruction.
Addressing the Indian students, accompanied by their parents, hailing from six states of North India, Mr.
Fyodor A. Rozovskiy, Director, RCSC, dwelt upon the well-acclaimed and widely recognized quality of
medical education and highest standard of teaching staff of the Tver Medical Academy. He referred to the
considerably large number of students already graduated from the Academy now serving in different parts of
the world.
Mr. Rozovskiy exhorted the students to be rest assured of all facilities, congenial learning atmosphere, and
proper guidance in the Tver State Medical Academy. He urged the students to concentrate on studies and
become competent medical professionals serving their country.
Dr. Sayed Kamruzzaman, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, Deputy
Dean of the International Faculty of Medical Education, Tver State Medical Academy, cheered up the students
on the eve of their departure for Tver and promised all help and support in making their journey, entry into the
academy and accommodation in Tver comfortable.
